What Happens When You Place an Order

Not everyone is a veteran on-line shopper. If this is your first time buying on-line then you might find the following information useful.

Choosing your Garment

We have a large selection of lingerie, nightwear and swimwear in all styles and across several price brackets, so it can be a bit daunting when it comes to hunting down the garment that suits you. You can browse the site by product type, brand or designer by using the links at the side and the top of each page.

The first section you reach when you do this is called a "category". Sometimes the category is so large that it is sub-divided. But once you reach a category with a list of products you will be able to sort those items by price or by how new they are. This last sort feature is useful if you are looking for the newest design.

You can also use the on site search to help you find product by entering the type of product, the colour or the brand. On each product page you will find the product images, sizes and colours available and optional extras that you can select. Once you have found something you want to buy then you are just a few clicks away from completing your on-line order.

Placing an Order

Start by selecting the size and if appropriate, colour option. Please note that our stock shown on site is real time. If an item is out of stock then the "add to basket" button will disappear, thus prevent you from ordering.

If your item is shown in stock when you select the options then you can start the order process by clicking on the big "add to basket" button on the product page. You will then have the option to continue shopping or to go to the check out and complete the purchase.

Offline Ordering

If you are concerned about placing your order online or paying for your order online then we do have an alternative system which is detailed here.

The Check-Out

For the purpose of this "how to" section we will assume that you don't want to buy anything else. So you click the "review and check out" option and that will take you to the shopping basket. Once in the basket or cart you can check the size you have ordered and price again to make sure you are happy and if your order is being delivered to the UK you may also choose your shipping option for anything available for same day despatch. For overseas deliveries we don't have a selection at this time. There is just one option - Air Mail.

Where applicable, select your delivery option and then click the "check out" button. You will be taken forward to the section where you enter your details. From here onwards you are on a secure server. You can confirm this by looking at the URL bar at the top of the screen where you will see a little padlock has appeared.

In this section you will be asked for your name and address and, if different, the delivery address. All essential information, but you can rest assured it is secure because you are on the secure server and we do not share data with any third party other than our payment processors.

If you have ordered a bespoke garment from one of our designers then you may also be asked for measurements while you are in the check out. Or we may contact you later by email to collect the appropriate measurements.

Finally you will need to read our terms and conditions and agree to them by ticking the box provided.

The next stage is to choose your payment option. You can choose to pay by debit or credit card via Secure Trading or PayPal - you do not need a PayPal account to use them. But if you do have a PayPal account then you can use them to pay with funds in that account. All options are secure and what is known as off-site. That means you move from our site to make your payment and take advantage of the mega security of the big financial institutions. In this instance, Secure Trading and PayPal. Which ever option you choose we do not see your card information.

After You've Paid

The order will show on our system and you will receive an order confirmation email from us. This is an automated response and shows you the data you have input to our system. It is your chance to check again that everything you have entered is correct. Item, size, quantity, colour - all of these can be amended by us at this stage if you have made a mistake simply by sending us an email.

If you have chosen either the PayPal or the Secure Trading payment options the funds will be taken by the processors immediately and we will start processing your order immediately, however some items such as made to order and remote stock will not be despatched immediately and you should check the estimated despatch information on the product page to ensure you are happy with the timing.

Processing your order

If the item/s you have ordered are in our main UK store then they will be shipped within 24 hours (same day if the order has been placed before 12 noon on a week day). If the item/s are not in our main stores they will be called in - this can take anything from 2 to 14 days depending on the product and its location. Estimated despatch times are shown on every product page.

If you have ordered designer, made to order, products then we will check your order to ensure that the information we have seems valid and then pass it through to the designer for manufacture. Again the approximate time this will take is shown on the product page. We may contact you at this stage if we have a question regarding the measurements or the garment chosen.

Tracking Your Order

You can check into your account for limited information regarding the status of your order. It may show pending or picked or a message giving the estimated time to despatch. If you need a more detailed update you can contact us but you can rest assured that if you have not heard from us all is well as we will always contact you if there is a problem.

Delivery

When the order is shipped our system will send you an email. If the parcel is trackable you will be supplied with a tracking number. All UK orders require a signature on receipt. International orders are sent by Airmail. If you require a courier delivery please contact us and we will give you an approximate cost which we will charge just prior to shipping.
